Using Astrology In Your Commodity Future Trading System
Commodity future trading
using astrology seems to be unscientific. But as traders, it is important to examine anything and everything that can serve to provide an edge over the competition.
The use of astrology for selecting commodity futures should always be combined with knowledge of what is happening to the market in general and with both technical and fundamental indicators.
What is Astrology?
Planetary configurations, transits, etc. are found in the horoscopes for the local Stock and Futures Exchanges and also in horoscopes of concerns in the country in question.
But you must need to know that:
* Astrology is least accepted (and hence least used), and
* Perhaps the most difficult to learn of all studies in market analysis
In order to get an understanding of the market through astrology, you first need to do an accurate analysis of the commodity futures markets, which depend upon three factors: Trend Analysis, Market Timing and Technical Analysis.
Geocosmic studies or astrology do not determine trend (as do studies in Trend Analysis) nor do they determine price (as do studies in Technical Analysis).
Astrological studies pertaining to stock and futures markets, in their purest and most usable application, are a study of timing changes in short-term trends. Many of the famous traders used astrology in their
commodity trading system.
How Astrology is Used in Trading
W.D. Gann, the wizard of Wall Street, once mentioned that he used to take the position of the planets and map them straight to the price chart.
Astro-traders plot charts as support and use all nine planets, the Moon, the Moon's Node, Chiron, and even the exchanges as resistance levels. Trading in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and its relationship with the planets has been provided in the adjacent illustration.
Since astrology has been used in this chart, this has been plotted infinitely forward into the future. The chart shows the price levels set by averaging Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Jupiter together.
Since astrologers believe that these four planets have the greatest gravitational pull on the Sun, they are used to arrive at support and resistance levels. Turning points occur at major peaks in this index.
